You'll receive a complete visual record of your day from preparation through the last dance. We shoot continuously during key moments so nothing important gets missed. The final gallery includes everything from wide establishing shots of your venue to close details of rings, flowers, and decor.
Most couples find moments in their gallery they didn't even notice happening—a parent tearing up during vows, guests laughing at a toast, children playing during cocktail hour. That's the point of documentary coverage.
Colour-corrected files ready to share
Every image goes through professional editing to balance exposure, correct white balance, and ensure consistent colour across different lighting conditions. You get high-resolution files suitable for printing at any size, plus web-optimized versions for social media and online sharing.
Files are delivered through a private online gallery where you can download, share, and order prints directly. The gallery stays active indefinitely so you can revisit photos years later without worrying about lost hard drives.
A photographer who stays out of the way
We work quietly in the background during ceremonies and speeches, using long lenses to capture emotion without interrupting the moment. For family portraits we organize groups efficiently—usually under fifteen minutes total—then step back so you can enjoy your guests.
You won't spend your reception posing for photos. We document the celebration as it happens, which means you're free to eat, drink, dance, and actually be present at your own event.
Why not just hire the cheapest photographer available?
Budget photographers typically shoot for two or three hours, miss key moments because they're juggling multiple events, and deliver unedited files that look inconsistent. You save money upfront but end up with gaps in coverage and images that need expensive post-processing to be usable.
We stay for the entire event, shoot exclusively your wedding that day, and handle all editing in-house. The upfront cost is higher but you get complete documentation without surprises. Most couples tell us they're glad they invested in proper coverage because you can't recreate these moments later.
The other practical difference is equipment redundancy. We carry backup cameras and lenses to every event because gear fails. Budget photographers often work solo with a single camera, which means if something breaks, your coverage ends. Who's behind the camera
Experienced with unpredictable conditions
Tessa Kilbourne and Rory Pemberton have been shooting weddings together since 2021. Between them they've covered over two hundred events across indoor venues, outdoor gardens, beaches, and remote properties. They've worked through rain delays, power outages, and last-minute schedule changes.
This experience matters when lighting fails during speeches or the timeline collapses because ceremony runs long. They adjust quickly without needing to stop and problem-solve, which keeps your day moving smoothly.
Trained in photojournalism
Both studied documentary photography formally and worked in editorial contexts before specializing in events. That background shows in how they anticipate moments—watching for reactions, positioning themselves where action will happen, capturing sequences rather than single frames.
Comfortable with diverse traditions
They've documented Greek Orthodox ceremonies, Vietnamese tea ceremonies, Jewish weddings, and multicultural celebrations blending multiple traditions. They research unfamiliar customs beforehand so they know what moments matter and where they're allowed to shoot.
Technical skill with difficult lighting
Wedding venues range from bright outdoor spaces to dimly lit reception halls with mixed lighting. Tessa and Rory handle these conditions without flash during key moments—using fast lenses and high ISO capabilities to capture natural light. When flash is necessary they bounce it off ceilings or walls to avoid harsh direct lighting.
They also shoot in RAW format which preserves maximum detail for editing, allowing them to recover highlights and shadows that would be lost with standard JPEG files.
